France, April 16 -- "Iran is coming for sure," said Infantino during an economic conference organised by the American business news channel CNBC in Washington.
"We hope that by then [the summer] the situation will be a peaceful situation, that would definitely help.
"But Iran has to come," Infantino added. "They represent their people, they have qualified, the players want to play."
Infantino expressed similar hopes in March when he attended a friendly match between Iran and Costa Rica in Antalya, Turkey.
His comments came despite US president Donald Trump's suggestion that Iranian players might not be safe in the United States.
