France, April 16 -- Bayern went into the second leg of their quarter-final at the Allianz Arena in Munich nursing a 2-1 lead from the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid on 7 April.

The game in Munich was less than a minute old when Arda Guler scored for Madrid to level the tie 2-2 on aggregate.

But within five minutes, Aleksandar Pavlovic made it 1-1 to restore Bayern's overall advantage at 3-2.

After half an hour, Guler hit his second of the night. At 2-1 to Madrid, the quarter-final was all square at 3-3.

Harry Kane's equaliser for Bayern nudged them ahead 4-3 after 39 minutes.
