Nepal, Oct. 11 -- The CPN-UML has set dates for conventions of its local-level party committees.

A meeting of the UML Standing Committee held on Thursday at the party's central office in Chyasal, under the chairmanship of party Chairman KP Sharma Oli, decided to hold ward committee conventions on November 12 and local-level committee conventions on December 20.

At the beginning of the meeting, Bidya Devi Bhandari, who was nominated senior leader of the party by the third meeting of the Central Committee, took her oath of office and secrecy.

The meeting also decided to organize a national gathering in the first week of November, according to UML Publicity Department chief Niraj Acharya.
