Nepal, July 25 -- CPN-UML and the Nepali Communist Party have signed a written agreement to cooperate in forming and running provincial governments.

UML Chairman K. P. Sharma Oli and NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal signed the agreement on Saturday.

According to the agreement, the two parties decided to work together to address recent problems in provincial assemblies, including disagreements over budget formulation, the absence of provincial budgets and unhealthy political competition. The agreement states that the partnership aims to promote political stability, good governance, prosperity and accelerate the pace of provincial development in line with the aspirations of the people.
