Nepal, Sept. 27 -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pledged an additional $25 million in assistance for communities affected by the devastating Bhotekoshi floods in Nepal.

The assistance was announced during a bilateral meeting between Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

According to Nepal's Permanent Mission in New York, Khanal thanked the UAE for its commitment to provide additional financial assistance to people affected by the climate related floods in Nepal.
