Tripathi elected RSP Gandaki President
Nepal, June 13 -- Nabin Tripathi has been elected the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Gandaki province committee.
The first convention of the party held in Pokhara on Friday elected Tripathi, a resident of Kaski, as the province committee President.
In the voting on Friday evening for new leadership, Tripathi emerged the winner with 234 votes. The vote count results were made public on Friday morning. Earlier, he had served the RSP Gandaki province as the elected general secretary.
In the race, Tripathi's close contender, Rajan Gautam, also the former President of the province committee and the member of the House of Representatives (HoR), received 182 votes.
