Traffic Police on surprise monitoring and inspection drive in public buses
Nepal, May 14 -- The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office (KVTPO) has launched a special monitoring and surprise inspection campaign to keep watch on the condition of public transport operating in the Kathmandu Valley. The surprise inspection is being conducted to maintain safety standards and compliance with traffic rules.
The KVTPO stated that regular surprise inspections have started from Wednesday, aiming at passenger safety, improvement of public transport services, and reduction of accidents.
Special attention has been given to monitoring whether security equipment such as CCTV cameras and dashboard cameras, which are mandatory to be installed in public transport vehicles operating in the Valley, are in place or not, said Seni...
