Nepal, Sept. 25 -- A strong low-pressure system is centred around northern Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh in India and is moving north-northwest, the Weather Forecasting Division said. It is likely to weaken gradually over the next 24 hours.

Heavy to very heavy rain fell in many parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces on Friday morning, as well as a few places in Lumbini and one or two places in Madhesh. Light to moderate rain continues across much of the country.
