Nepal, Aug. 20 -- The government has decided to increase the remuneration of teachers and school employees working under the federal grant.

The Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Wednesday decided to increase the salary of Early Childhood Development Facilitators (ECDs), school employees and school assistants by Rs. 5,000 per month, shared Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel.

The meeting also decided to accept grant assistance of about Rs 2.73 billion from the Government of Japan for the project related to air traffic control improvement at Tribhuvan International Airport.
