Nepal, June 25 -- Voting for the election of office bearers and central committee members under the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is underway, with the process set to continue until 12:00 noon today, according to the party's Central Election Commission.

The voting began last night, and more than 1,600 representatives have so far exercised their voting rights, the commission said.

According to Commission Chief Bhuwan KC, a total of 384 candidates are contesting in the first phase of the central committee member election. Of them, 210 candidates are from the open category, while 174 are from the geographical category.
