Nepal, April 20 -- Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has initiated political consultations with senior leaders in a bid to forge broader unity within the party.

As part of this effort, Thapa held a meeting with former acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka on Sunday evening. The meeting took place at Khadka's residence in Golfutar.

Thapa reached out to Khadka amid ongoing internal differences within the party, aiming to foster an environment of consensus and cooperation.
