Nepal, Aug. 21 -- The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has handed Pramod Neupane responsibility for expanding and strengthening the party organisation.

A meeting of the party's Central Committee on Friday appointed Neupane as head of the Organisation Department.

Neupane, who entered politics after a career in journalism, had recently emerged as an active figure within the RSP. He was particularly visible when party chair Rabi Lamichhane was in jail, playing an active role in presenting the party's position through the media and taking its political message to the public.
