Nepal, Aug. 21 -- The Policy Research Institute under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has stepped up efforts to make Nepal's public policymaking process more evidence-based and grounded in research.

According to the institute's fortnightly progress report for August 1-15 submitted to the Prime Minister's Office, eight reports have been sent for expert and internal review.

The reports on Gender Issues and Domestic Violence; Offences and Punishment in School Curricula; and Enhancing Teachers' Capacity and Strengthening Management Systems for Improving the Quality of School Education in Nepal: A Strategic Study have been sent to the institute's Publication Review and Recommendation Committee for internal review. ...
