Nepal, May 13 -- Prime Minister Balen Shah will not respond to lawmakers' questions in the House of Representatives on the government's policy and programme presented on Monday, with Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle stepping in to take his place.

President Ram Chandra Paudel had presented the policy and programme in the joint session of Parliament on Monday, after which the Prime Minister was expected to address the House and respond to queries raised during the debate.

However, the agenda was revised at the last moment, and Minister Wagle has now been assigned to handle lawmakers' questions.

The House of Representatives meeting is scheduled for 11 AM today.
