PM did not say Nepal encroached on Indian land, only expressed surprise: Govt
Nepal, June 2 -- The government has clarified controversial remarks made by Prime Minister Balendra Shah on the Nepal-India border during a parliamentary session a few days ago.Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel stated that Prime Minister Shah did not state in Parliament that Nepal had encroached upon Indian territory, but had only expressed surprise over the issue.
Speaking to journalists after a Cabinet meeting, Pokharel urged reporters to re-listen to the Prime Minister's statement.
