Parliamentary hearings for proposed chief election commissioner, commissioners set for July 28-29
Nepal, July 22 -- Nepal's Parliamentary Hearing Committee has scheduled hearings for the proposed Chief Election Commissioner and two proposed Election Commissioners for July 28 and 29.
The Constitutional Council recommended Man Bahadur Karki for the post of Chief Election Commissioner and Dr Rajiv Subba and Guru Prasad Wagle as Election Commissioners on June 25, and forwarded their names to Parliament for confirmation.
Committee Chair Bodhanarayan Shrestha said Monday's meeting approved the hearing schedule, with hearings for the two commissioner nominees set for July 28 and the hearing for the proposed chief election commissioner scheduled for July 29.
