Nepal, Aug. 14 -- The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee has urged lawmakers and invited officials to maintain dignity and use respectful language during committee meetings.

Committee Chairperson Samikchya Baskota issued the ruling during Friday's meeting following remarks made by Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Khagendra Sunar a few days ago concerning an alleged theft at the residence of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki.

Sunar had said that the alleged theft at Karki's residence had not been made public. He said that if the incident had actually occurred, it should be brought before the committee for further investigation.
