Nepal, June 1 -- Opposition parties have collectively concluded that Prime Minister Balendra Shah's remarks on border issues made in Parliament should be removed from official parliamentary records.

A meeting of opposition parties held Monday morning at Singha Durbar reached a unanimous decision calling for the deletion of the statement from parliamentary proceedings.

The meeting, convened by Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhishmaraj Angdembe, was attended by whips from CPN-UML, the Nepali Communist Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Shram Sanskriti Party.

Speaking after the meeting, RPP Chief Whip Khusbu Oli said the Prime Minister should clarify his statement in Parliament. She added that there is a "clear difference"...
