Nepal, Aug. 8 -- A truck and a motorcycle collided on the Karnali Highway in Dailekh on Saturday, leaving a motorcycle rider seriously injured and bringing traffic along the key highway to a halt.

The accident occurred at around 11 am at Dungeshwar Bazar in Dungeshwor Rural Municipality-2 when a truck (Bhe 1 Kha 3710) heading toward Kalikot from Surkhet collided with a motorcycle (Bhe 14 Pa 6714) coming from the opposite direction.

The motorcycle rider, identified as around 40-year-old Prem Rokaya from Kailali, was seriously injured in the crash. His full address has not yet been established. Police said efforts were underway to rescue him.
