NEPSE rebounds after four-day losing streak, gains 12.96 points
Nepal, July 31 -- Nepal's stock market rebounded on Friday after four consecutive sessions of decline, with the NEPSE index rising 12.96 points to close at 2,685.54.
The rally was led by gains in all sectoral indices except non-life insurance and trading. The commercial banking sub-index recorded the highest increase, climbing 0.72 percent.
Share prices of 180 listed companies advanced, while 82 declined. Everest Color hit the positive circuit limit, extending its post-listing rally to Rs. 1,309 per share. On the losing side, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) fell the most, dropping 5.33 percent.
Trading turnover also increased from the previous session. Total transactions reached Rs. 3.75 billion, up from Rs. 3.38 billion on Thursday.
