NEPSE inches up 2.66 points as daily turnover increases to Rs 5.73 billion
Nepal, June 3 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased marginally by 2.66 points to close at 2,780.25 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,777.58 points and declined to 2,769.51 points in the first 47 minutes. The index then rose to the day-high at 2,798.89 points in the next around one hour. The market went to a declining trend and shed around 18 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Seven sectors were the gainers as non-life insurance and life insurance surged by the largest of 380.16 points and 217.40 points, respectively. Of the six losers, 'others' group plunged by 51.14 points, the largest of all.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of 'A' class companies, increased 1.93 points. Daily...
