Nepal, April 17 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased slightly on Friday, rising by 5.36 points to close at 2,838.40 points.

According to NEPSE data, sub-indices of hotels and tourism, hydropower, manufacturing and processing, other, and trading groups all posted gains, contributing to the overall market uptick.
