Nepal, Sept. 25 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose 11.77 points to close at 2,629.81 on Thursday, with share prices of 176 companies increasing

Most sectoral sub-indices, except non-life insurance, posted gains, pushing the overall market higher. The manufacturing and processing sub-index recorded the biggest gain, rising 1.83 percent.

Nepal Lube Oil posted the highest increase in share price, gaining 12.47 percent.

Despite the rise in the index, overall market turnover declined. Shares worth Rs 5.44 billion were traded on Thursday, down from Rs 6.35 billion on Wednesday.

Shivam Cement recorded the highest turnover at Rs 358.1 million, followed by Himalayan Distillery with Rs 351.6 million and Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropow...
