Nepal, Oct. 6 -- The Nepali delegation attending the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tanzania held a meeting with a Chinese delegation on the sidelines of the event on Monday.

The Nepali delegation is led by Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal.

The Assembly is being held in Arusha from October 5 to 9.

The meeting focused on further strengthening the warm, cordial and friendly relations between Nepal and China, as well as bilateral parliamentary ties.

According to the Speaker's Secretariat, Aryal said Nepal-China relations are based on close friendship, good neighborliness, mutual respect and the Panchsheel principles of peaceful coexistence.
