Nepal, March 28 -- Nepal Tarun Dal (NTD), the youth wing of the Nepali Congress, has strongly opposed the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. In a press release issued on Saturday by President Bidhwan Gurung, the arrests were described as politically motivated, driven by bias and revenge.

NTD said such unilateral and heavy-handed actions strike at the very heart of democratic values and the rule of law. Gurung warned that these moves risk pushing the country toward unnecessary conflict and instability.
