Nepal, Oct. 27 -- Most government websites that were temporarily shut down as a precaution after a serious security flaw was found in PHP, a programming technology used to build websites, have resumed operations.

Following security updates and testing, government websites have begun coming back online, but several portals and applications, including Nepal Rastra Bank, the Medical Education Commission and Nagarik App, remain unavailable.

On October 21, reports emerged of a security vulnerability called "PHP to Shell" in PHP technology.
