Nepal, May 17 -- Nepal's Ambassador to Thailand Dhan Bahadur Oli held discussions with Thatchai Pitaneelaboot to strengthen bilateral cooperation in combating human trafficking, smuggling, cybercrime, and online scams. Ambassador Oli appreciated the support of the Royal Thai Police in the rescue and repatriation of Nepali nationals trafficked to Thailand and nearby countries.

Both sides also raised concerns over the increasing spread of online scam operations in the region and emphasized the need for closer coordination to identify and rescue victims trafficked into such cybercrime centers.
