NEA to supply electricity to flood-hit Rasuwa through Sanjen Hydropower in 'isolated mode'
Nepal, Aug. 31 -- The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is preparing to operate the Sanjen Hydropower Plant in 'isolated mode' to restore service in Rasuwa, the most affected district by the Bhotekoshi-Trishuli flood that has been facing power disruption since Wednesday's natural catastrophe.
According to the NEA, it has started homework to disconnect the local power system from the national transmission system, while electricity generated from the Sanjen Hydropower Plant will be distributed to the affected areas of Rasuwa. The NEA has stated that necessary technical preparations and coordination are underway for this task.
