NC set to open 15th General Convention on Sunday
Nepal, Oct. 3 -- The Nepali Congress is set to inaugurate its 15th General Convention at Tundikhel in Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon, with the party saying preparations for the event have been completed.
NC Spokesperson Devraj Chalise on Saturday described the convention as "historic," as it comes after the second special general convention held from January 11 to 13, 2026.
According to Chalise, the convention is being held at the same Tundikhel where BP Koirala delivered his first public address after returning to Nepal from exile. It was also from the same location that Ganesh Man Singh announced the end of the autocratic regime following the success of the 1990 People's Movement.
