Nepal, Oct. 5 -- The Nepali Congress (NC) has announced plans to establish a Rs 100 million endowment fund to support families of martyrs, conflict victims and injured people who lost education, livelihoods or opportunities while participating in the party's movements.

The policy was included in the political proposal presented by party President Gagan Kumar Thapa at the party's ongoing 15th General Convention in Kathmandu.

The proposal says the fund will reflect the party's sense of familial responsibility toward its political activists and provide educational and health support to their families.
