Nepal, Sept. 11 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Ashika Tamang has criticized the government over the shortage of cooking gas, questioning whether voters gave the government a two-thirds majority to leave people hungry.

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, Tamang said people were being forced to go without food because of the shortage of LPG cylinders.

"Did the people give you a two-thirds majority so they could watch gas in shops and remain hungry?" she asked.
