Nepal, May 9 -- The westerly low-pressure system and local winds continue to influence weather conditions across Nepal. A low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of the country has also affected the weather, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

At present, the weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.

The remaining Terai areas are partly cloudy. Moderate rainfall is occurring in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, while light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported in one or two places of Madhesh, Gandaki, and Karnali pr...
