Nepal, June 30 -- Students pursuing MBBS and BDS under the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of Tribhuvan University staged a protest at Maitighar in Kathmandu on Tuesday, putting forward a six-point demand for academic reforms.

The students called for changes to the long-standing academic system, saying it has placed additional mental pressure on them and created academic difficulties. They particularly demanded an immediate revision of the 19-year-old curriculum and examination system.
