Nepal, April 13 -- Real estate transactions in Nepal show a clear seasonal trend, with activity remaining low in the first quarter and rising significantly during the third and fourth quarters, according to a report published by Nepal Rastra Bank.

In its first-ever quarterly data on real estate trends, the central bank reported that Madhesh Province ranks highest in terms of the number of transactions. It is followed by Lumbini Province and Koshi Province.

In contrast, real estate activity remains lowest in Karnali Province and Sudurpashchim Province. Based on total land area transacted, Madhesh Province also holds the largest share, followed again by Koshi and Lumbini provinces.
