Madhesh aims to boost GDP through expanded economic activities
Nepal, July 20 -- Seeking to increase its 13 percent contribution to the country's gross domestic product (GDP), the Madhesh Province government has begun implementing plans focused on expanding economic activities, increasing production, and encouraging private sector investment.
Concluding that the province's economic potential has not been fully utilized despite its abundant natural resources, fertile agricultural land, large labor force, and opportunities for cross-border trade, the government is moving ahead with programs to expand production, promote industrialization, and attract investment.
