Nepal, July 11 -- The Ministry of Infrastructure Development has revoked the licenses of 44 construction firms for failing to renew their construction business licenses.

In a notice, the ministry's Construction Entrepreneurship Promotion Unit said the licenses were automatically revoked after the firms failed to renew them by the end of March in the fiscal year 2026/27, as required under the Construction Business Act, 1999.

The decision was made at the secretary level of the ministry.
