Nepal, April 22 -- A draft of the House of Representatives (HoR) regulations has proposed that lawmakers be held financially liable for any damage caused by vandalism inside Parliament.
The draft, prepared by a parliamentary committee, includes provisions allowing the Speaker to take immediate action to maintain order, discipline, and decorum in the House. If a lawmaker engages in disruptive or destructive activities during a meeting, the Speaker can order their removal from the chamber through marshals.
The proposal also allows for the suspension of the guilty member for up to 15 days and mandates compensation for any physical damage caused.
