Nepal, May 3 -- Landslides triggered by continuous rainfall over the past few days have obstructed several major highways and road sections across the country, police said.
According to central police spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General Dinesh Acharya, landslides that occurred on Sunday morning blocked multiple roads, including the Kanti Lokpath at Pangdur in Bagmati Rural Municipality-3 of Lalitpur, the Bhalubang-Pyuthan road section at Khahare Khola in Sarumarani Rural Municipality-4 of Pyuthan, the Kanti Lokpath road section at Bharyangdanda in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 of Makwanpur, and the Mid-Hill Highway at Bimire Bhanjyang in Madhya Nepal Municipality-10 of Lamjung.
