Nepal, July 23 -- Major highways and road sections across the country have been affected by landslides and floods triggered by incessant rainfall.

Publishing an update on road conditions as of 9:30 am today, Nepal Police said vehicular movement has been completely halted on roads in seven districts, while vehicle entry has been restricted on some road sections during nighttime.

The movement of all types of vehicles has been suspended on the Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi section of the BP Highway from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am until further notice due to the risk of flooding.

Similarly, vehicle entry on the Kanti Highway in Makawanpur has been prohibited from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am until further notice because of continuous rainfall.
