Nepal, June 30 -- The Kanti Highway linking Hetauda to the federal capital, Kathmandu, has been blocked due to a landslide at Bharengdanda of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 since this morning.

The District Police Office, Hetauda said that landslips occurred at several places on the border of Makwanpur and Lalitpur districts, causing obstruction to vehicular movement along the roadway.

Continuous rainfall has caused difficulty in clearing the landslips. However, blockade would be cleared immediately after improvement in weather.

Deputy superintendent of police at the District Police Office, Madhav Prasad Kafle, requested all concerned to use alternative routes till the next notice.
