Nepal, March 14 -- According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Jhapa received the highest rainfall, measuring 129 millimeters (mm) in the past 24 hours.
As cloudy weather persists across the country, heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred in several districts on Friday, with Jhapa recording the highest amount.Dinkar Kayastha, information officer at the DHM, said that districts such as Kaski, Lamjung, Tanahu, Chitwan and Ilam also experienced heavy rainfall (above 50 mm) during the same period. He indicated that cloudy conditions are likely to prevail for a few more days across the country.
