Nepal, May 23 -- Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply Gauri Kumari Yadav has said that necessary groundwork is being carried out to revive the long-defunct Hetauda textile industry.

During her inspection of the Hetauda Industrial Area today, she emphasized the need to re-establish the garment sector to strengthen the country's economic development.

Minister Yadav said the government is committed to implementing policies aimed at revitalizing struggling industries, adding that budget allocations for the textile sector are planned in the upcoming fiscal year.

She highlighted that bringing closed industries back into operation would generate employment opportunities, and said the government is actively working in this direction.
