Nepal, June 21 -- A 19-year-old youth was seriously injured after a government vehicle used by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Uma Chaturbedi collided with a motorcycle in Taulihawa, the district headquarters of Kapilvastu.

Irfan is receiving treatment at Universal Medical College, Bhairahawa. His grandfather, Shamsul Doha, said that Irfan remains unconscious and is being treated in the hospital's ventilator unit.

He alleged that police had not assisted with the treatment expenses and that the family was covering the costs themselves. According to Doha, the vehicle left the scene after the collision.
