Nepal, Sept. 23 -- The House of Representatives on Wednesday unanimously passed the Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, following a theoretical discussion.

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle, who is overseeing the Prime Minister's daily administrative duties, presented the proposal seeking consideration of the bill. Responding to lawmakers' queries, Wagle said the government introduced the bill as part of efforts to improve the economy after the existing framework failed to adequately address issues such as systemic liquidity.

Lawmakers Sushil Khadka, Nitima Bhandari Karki, Prem Lal Chaudhary, Ganesh Paudel, Ninu Kumari Karna, Prem Bahadur Bayak, Yashuda Kumari Baral and Parashu Ram Tamang took part in the discussion. ...
