Nepal, May 26 -- A tense situation erupted in the House of Representatives on Tuesday after Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Jagdish Kharel referred to opposition protests as "tamasha" (drama), triggering strong objections from opposition lawmakers.
According to the press report, the incident occurred during ongoing obstruction by opposition parties demanding the presence and response of Prime Minister Balen Shah in Parliament. In response to the protests, MP Khairel urged the opposition not to "stage drama" in the House.
The situation escalated, forcing Speaker DP Aryal to adjourn the meeting for 15 minutes.
