Nepal, April 6 -- The Supreme Court is continuing the hearing on habeas corpus petitions filed on behalf of CPN-UML Chair and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former home minister Ramesh Lekhak.
A joint bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Sunil Kumar Pokharel began hearing the petitions on Sunday and had kept the case for further hearing. The same bench is continuing the proceedings today.
The petitions were filed after both leaders were arrested on March 18. The habeas corpus petitions were submitted by Radhika Shakya, wife of Oli, and Yashodha Thapa, wife of Lekhak.
