Nepal, March 16 -- To expand digital health insurance services, the Health Insurance Board Nepal has begun collaboration with the Department of National ID and Registration to link health insurance with citizens' National ID (NID) numbers.
The partnership aims to simplify registration and renewal processes through online platforms, with new registrations expected to start by Chaitra 25 (April 8). Linking to the NID system is expected to reduce duplicate records, prevent misuse of health insurance cards, and improve data verification.
