Nepal, Aug. 21 -- Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged the current government to maintain the trust of both citizens who voted for it and those who did not.

Thapa made the remarks on Thursday while addressing a ceremony held to launch the book Loknayakharu of Dolakha and present the Nanda Prasad-Januka Memorial Honor.

He said political strength cannot be measured by numbers alone.

Thapa also recalled how the Nepali Congress and CPN UML had paid the price in the past for failing to address public dissatisfaction in time and for assuming that a parliamentary majority and electoral mandate were enough.

"We looked only upward and focused on the power and prestige we had gained. That alone cannot take us in the right dire...
