Nepal, April 23 -- The government has directed all public offices to make electronic attendance mandatory for employees across the country.
The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) issued a circular instructing all ministries, departments, offices, agencies, and local levels to implement an electronic attendance system to record staff presence.
The MoFAGA said offices must ensure that employees' daily attendance - including arrival and departure times - is recorded through the electronic system, especially where full implementation is not yet complete.
It has also directed offices to print attendance records every 15 days, verify them, and store them securely for official purposes.
