Nepal, April 11 -- Service seekers at state-owned hospitals can now access doctors' appointments, report receipt and necessary payments via an online system, with the government enforcing the 'Hospital Service Reform Procedure-2026.'

The guidelines implemented by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) talk about making government hospitals facilitate online booking, report dispatch and e-payment or QR code payment systems for patients visiting the hospitals for treatment. According to the MoHP, the new rules are expected to make hospital-related services more public-friendly, accessible and effective.
